The Curran Collection

Each wine in the Curran Collection is an expression not only of the premium vineyards where it is grown, but also of the varietal itself. Kris works very closely with growers in the warmer, eastern part of the Santa Ynez Valley to ensure that the grapes are grown to her exacting requirements. The vines must be in balance, and the resulting fruit at the ultimate ripeness for each wine that Kris produces. To Kris, “ripeness” is about flavors - not numbers.

Once in the winery, the wines are crafted in individual ways to express the unique characteristics of each varietal. Kris believes that each vineyard, each grape varietal and each vintage all bring something unique to the wine, and she adjusts her winemaking techniques to encourage this distinctiveness.
